Right Turn with Yield Sign                

Question:

How do you approach a right turn with yield sign at a traffic light?

Process:

As you are approaching the intersection with a yield sign, your eyes are focusing on three things, READING the intersection:

1. Traffic
2. Traffic light
3. Pedestrians

If there is a right turn lane going in to the yield sign, you need to transition in to the turn lane safely:

• Check right mirror
• Indicator
• Right shoulder check
• Transition in to right turn lane
