Meet Dickens
Our newest driving instructor with over 25 years of driving experience across BC and Asia. Prior to relocating back to Vancouver and joining OPDS, Dickens served as a senior project manager in the banking sector. This background instilled in him a strong sense of personal integrity, discipline, organization, and attention to detail – all of which are invaluable qualities when teaching safe and responsible driving.

Meet Juan
After working most of my life in Food Processing facilities and when it was about time to retire, I decided to become a driving instructor aiming to help future drivers to develop safe driving skills. I have spent 4 years instructing students in the Lower Mainland covering Vancouver, Burnaby and Richmond. It is rewarding to see students passing their driving test and I am looking forward to contributing to their success at Ocean Park Driving School.

Meet Peter
I have had the privilege of being a public school teacher for 25 years! My teaching career began in the New Westminster School District in 1999, with TOC jobs at the New Westminster High School, and various New West elementary schools. After this, I taught in Delta, BC, working from 2000 to 2024, working in a few elementary schools as a Teacher Librarian, and as a primary, and intermediate school teacher. I am incredibly grateful, and feel blessed to have served in this wonderful profession. I have been enriched by so many over the years–the staff at various schools, the various school districts, and most importantly, the many, many wonderful students. Anyways, I hope to bring my passion for learning, and teaching young people, and combine it with my passion for driving. I successfully completed the Driver Training Instructor in Langley, BC, this past summer, and I have over 47 years of driving experience in British Columbia, and the Lower Mainland. I am eager to bring my passion for teaching, and driving to Ocean Park Driving School, and to teach young people how to drive both defensively, and “proactively” on the roads of BC. My advice to new driving students at OPDS is to be patient, flexible, open-minded, have a sense of humor, and more importantly perhaps, have a “positive mindset”. After all, we are all life-long learners! Cheers!
