Meet our Instructors

Meet Kim, the owner of OPDS

I've been involved in training young people and seniors for over 30 years.  I really enjoy being with our youth and seniors and have worked in some capacity with both these groups my whole life.  My favourite saying to a young person on the first lesson is this: "My job is to teach you how to become a safe driver, getting your license is the bonus of becoming a safe driver and you will do fine on the road test!"

Meet David

Over the past 25 plus years, teaching young people to drive has been both a privilege and a pleasure.  I look forward to having fun doing this job for some time to come!

Meet Dan

A former radio announcer Dan enjoys communicating and interacting with people of all ages.

It’s his goal to make learning how to drive not only safe but fun along the way.  Dan has been teaching driving since 2013 and enjoys both classroom and practical real life driving environments.

Meet Fareeha

As well as managing a busy household, she is passionate about teaching our young people safe driving habits.

Meet Liam

Liam has worked in many industries supervising, training, and communicating within BC’s diverse workforce.  A formerly over-anxious person, Liam works well with nervous drivers of any age.  His wealth of experience, patience, and motivation to make lessons relatable are important parts of his toolkit.

Meet Gord

After retiring from his previous career he decided he wanted to teach our local young people safe driving techniques that would help them navigate our busy roads.

Meet Nicole

Nicole has been a safe and defensive driver for over 30 years.  She loves working with the kids in our community and teaching them how to be confident, knowledgeable drivers.
