Do I need to drive differently in the rain?

Answer:

You always want to drive safely but if it is raining there are things to consider, such as poor visibility and slick roads.  These things will affect your driving so be sure to stay safe on rainy days by:

1. SLOWING DOWN!!
2. Instead of using the 2 second rule between your car and the car in front of your, give yourself 3 to 4 seconds.  It will take longer for your vehicle to stop on wet roads.
3. Beginning to slow down sooner when approaching red lights and stop signs.
4. Always have your head lights on, even during daylight, as visibility can often be poor in the rain.
5. Staying focussed!!
